Catholic United have specialised goalkeeping coaching available for all the team's keepers. The training is free and takes place from 9.30am until 11.am every Saturday at Bridgewater Drive and is run by Jonathan Eckett, (Degree in Sports Exercise & Health).

The training group include our very youngest right through all our different squads. Goalkeepers are different, they're often braver, more agile, more vocal and have to be more  focussed than the outfield players. At Catholic we value our keepers, we look after them and as a group they look out for each other.

Goalkeeping is technical position and its very important that goalkeepers get correct goalkeeper coaching. As a club, we recognised a number of years ago the value of this specialised training and can say our keepers are keepers by choice not by circumstance. The training is enjoyable but demanding and great fun by the sound of the laughs from that corner of the grounds.
